Andrew Shold Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Andrew Shold Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in 1983 and provides tuition assistance for Wahkiakum High School graduates or Wahkiakum County residents. Mr. Shold was an elementary teacher on Puget Island and in Cathlamet. He loved education and left this bequest in order to assist those students wishing to continue their education. Criteria gives preference to: (1) Wahkiakum High School graduates; (2) Wahkiakum County residents; (3) Community College District #13 residents. Additional criteria include: academic potential, full time student, and a recommendation from a high school teacher or college administrator. Scholarship is renewable for a second year if student continues to meet criteria.
