The Daily News Endowed Scholarship

The Daily News Endowed Scholarship was funded in 2002 by the Howard Charitable Foundation. Howard Publishing owned The Daily News from 1999-2002 and established this scholarship as a permanent gift of thanks to the community they did business in. To be eligible students must be full time, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a recent high school graduate with first preference to students studying communication degrees including English, journalism, and writing.
